The Beautiful, not the Ugly

I just had to get rid of the last post's title.
I didn't realize how uncomfortable it would make me feel
just knowing it was there.
I don't have a well-thought-out post...but I DID capture the above scene while
traveling home over country roads yesterday.
I SHOULD have taken more pictures.
This one was kind of rushed, and the car was moving...
but I think you can still sense some of the beauty
that made me dig my trusty cell phone (camera) out!
From The Message - Philippians 4:8-9:
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

  1. I love that we live in a day and age where we can capture with a simple click, the beauty that catches our eye, and that we can share it with others or go back and enjoy it over and over again.

  2. Amen....needed this...a very timely word and beautiful picture

  3. What a beautiful photo, Rebecca!
Those country roads are splendid...and traveling home makes them even more so.
Thank you for sharing a beautiful Scripture, my friend.

  4. Thanks for sharing Rebecca. A moment in your day, so precious to us and our blessings.

    Jeanie x

  5. Well put and a simply beautiful lesson!
    Love Di ♥
