Time

Time is more important than money.
You can always get more money but your time is fixed.
Use money to save time. (Rick Warren)

Wasting my time is a truly ungrateful way to treat a gift.  (Maria)

This fabulous and funky clock I found at
My Favorite Thrift Store yesterday
(and the steady ticking of two clocks in our living room)
remind me about TIME
and both its significance AND insignificance
in view of eternity...

Do you have a favorite quote or Scripture verse about time?
Is time flying, or what?!?!

  1. As I told you on your other blog, I really like your new finds. And, yes, time is flying by! I have had that conversation with at least half a dozen people in the last two days about how quickly time is passing. Perhaps the Lord has decided to speed up time. One thing we know for sure, He is coming soon!!

  3. All that I know about time is that the older I get the faster it goes! What an interesting clock Rebecca. I have a similar shaped one that was my mother's. I think it's in one of the photos I took for my future post I am doing about the upstairs. That is when I find the TIME!!! Love Di ♥

  4. I like clocks that tick and have to wound. We have a nice mantle piece clock that is wound and chimes on the quarter hour and the hour, I love it, particularly since it chimes are Westminster chimes,

"Lord through this hour" chimes only at quarter past
"Be though my guide" both lines chime at half past
"And by thy power", all three lines chime at quarter till the new hour
"Let no foot slide" all four lines chime at the top of the hour.

Once I learned the words to the west minster chime I always say them in my mind as the quarter hours pass by.

We also have a cuckoo clock, it has a reassuring tick tock and a happy cuckoo on the hour and half hour.

    Blessing to you,

    Bean

    1. Thanks for the reminder re. the Westminster Chime words. I need to wind up the clock that chimes thus....(It needs more frequent winding and has been forgotten lately.)

  5. Sorry, This is Bean, Emily, my daughter was logged into blogger and when I posted I didn't notice and my comment posted under her name and not mine :) YIKES, the problems you can encounter when there are two bloggers in the house!

    Blessings to you,

  6. I also love to sit in a quiet room and listen to the ticking of clocks. It feels like being in the past. I can not think of a quote or scripture about time right now...but give me time...I will think of one.

  7. My grandfather was a clock maker. He learned his skill in a sanitarian for TB. When the miracle drug for TB came out Papa was able to use his skill in a jewelry store. He kept old clocks in a drawer for us to play with.
