Anniversary Extended

We celebrated our 41st Wedding Anniversary earlier this month.
We went out to eat, but decided to spread the celebrating over the summer.
The first event on our radar was this Home & Garden Tour.
It was hot, but we enjoyed touring 12 homes - inside and out.

We've had quite a dry spell lately.
Maybe that's why the yards and gardens seemed a little lackluster to me.
Still, it was interesting AND inspiring to visit these lovely homes.
In doing so, we learned a little more history about the city nearest to us -
Fort Wayne, IN.
We have a few more excursions on our Anniversary Celebration Radar.
I kind of like this plan--
all the thrills of new places and experiences
spread out over a couple of months
and coming home to sleep in our own bed at the end of each day!

  1. Happy Anniversary and I like that idea of extending the celebration over the summer...one time I did something each night for a week...all in our city, all free and it was fun...I like your idea...how much fun and great pictures

  5. I LOVE this idea of celebrating your anniversary over a period of time! Our own anniversary is in August...in the middle of oodles of family birthdays and anniversaries...so most years, we really don't have a lot of time (or money) to celebrate in a big way. You have inspired me with this idea of extending the celebration!

  7. Hi Rebecca,
Happy Belated Anniversary, and 41 years, exactly how long we have been married as well. What a great idea to celebrate over the summer, and the idea of sleeping in your own bed a good one. Since I slept in 3 different beds, over our 10 days away my neck has been acting up........and that was using my own special neck pillow, so can't imagine how bad it would be if I hadn't used that ........
These older bodies are just not what they used to be for sure.

The house tour looks like it was fun, always neat to see other peoples homes.
Well, have a great week ahead hon,
    Blessings, Nellie
