Quiet Corner

Yesterday, our Lady Bugs (Red-Hattters-No-Longer) group met
at Quiet Corner Tea and Coffee Room for lunch.
As soon as I turned into the lane and began the winding route up to the tea room,
I was inwardly quieted...
Above, a sign in a window...
Below, a sign on the path to the Tea Room.
A new feature since I was there last was this little farm stand.
I bought a couple yellow summer squash and two tomatoes.

I wish this place was just a little bit closer to our house.
I would spend more time in the rocking chairs
on the porch watching the birds at the feeders
and calmed by the Quiet of this special Corner.
I brought home a few souveniers....Yes, they're buckeyes.
Do YOU have a favorite Quiet Place?
What are its best features?

  4. This looks like a place I would love to visit.
Charming. Yes, I do have a favorite Quiet
Place. When my son married and moved
out I took his large bedroom/computer/
kitchen/bath area for myself. I love getting
up early and just sneaking off downstairs for a long shower and settling in on my sofa or at a desk and starting morning devotions. I have so much room that I can even dance before the Lord to my heart's content. It's wonderful.

  7. Oh Rebecca! My quite place is my upstairs but you probably already could guess that and how much I am missing it up there! Jake seems pretty sure about getting railings up this weekend, I hope, I hope!
Anyway I loved the "Adversity" Saying. It's so true! And what a nice little place to visit. I can't say that I know of a cute place like that around here except maybe my own yard!! I'm glad you had a special day, you deserved it!
    Love Di ♥

  8. Great signs lil Ladybug! You NEVER cease to amaze me. RED HATTER? Get outta here! I hope we get to see you in a shnazzy red hat!
Anyway, I love your quiet place. To answer your question, one of my favorite places is the "hollar" behind our barn down in the woods. I love sitting on a rock there and being still. You can almost hear a leaf drop to the floor of the woods.

  9. I love the big yellow teapot with Jesus' words! What an inviting place, one that I'd love to visit! My quiet place is "my nest" near a window where I can watch the birds as I drink my coffee and read my Bible and devotional books.

  10. That looks like a very special place! My quiet place is my back yard, beneath the fir trees. If I'm really stressed, I go to the beach and sit on a log. That's always soothing.

  11. What a wonderful place!!! We don't have anything quite as sweet around here so i suppose my favorite quiet place is my bedroom. It's where i go to get away and experience peace.

  13. That sign on the pathway is beautiful! Yes, I do. I have two places that are favorites to be with God and they house His presence and peace like a welcome to me to enter in. His love is amazing and draws us to that place where we can get alone and just be with Him.

    Beautiful photos!
