Inner Beauty

Proverbs 31: 30
For a thoughtful post about inner beauty and well-being, I recommend French Essence--this post particularly.  It contains a lovely explanation of ten qualities that supersede physical treatments and products,  appearance, habits, and material goods when it comes to being a truly beautiful person. They are:

Caring
Contentment
Happiness
Self-Confidence
Laughter
Learning
Flexibility
Generosity
Communication
Centered*

For me, *"centered" means finely arranged and balanced around  The One who is Worthy and Superior to anyone or anything else...to be motivated and empowered by Him.  So, I'm going to reverse the order of these ten and go to "work"!  (Or rather, clear the way so HE can work!)

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you (me)
will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6

  1. Thanks for the info on her site, I joined it today. I have been hearing more about less self-confidence and more God-confidence...as I know you know as well. More God-confidence gives us more SELF-confidence . thanks !

  6. My girls laugh together about my many --almost daily-- reminders that "pretty is as pretty does." As they grew, they came to realize that a pretty face doesn't always seem pretty with the attitude stink and the virtues are absent. You have a great list...now going to read the post.

  7. Amen! Beautiful post, Rebecca!
And, "Eureka!" I've struck gold! I took a suggestion from another blogger, had my son work on things on my blog, and it actually worked! I got here with no problem!
    Happy, happy, happy,

  8. I guess I am beautiful inside because I try to be all of those things daily. But they all must wait until after I've had my morning coffee of coarse!

  9. Morning Rebecca,
That is a wonderful list of attributes, but I have to agree if we don't have the latter one first, as you say, don't think we will exude too much of the others. A wonderful post hon.

Hope you are doing well my friend,
    Blessings, Nellie
