Creativity

“There is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique.
And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium
and it will be lost.”  — Martha Graham
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules,
making mistakes, and having fun.” — Mary Lou Cook
The key question isn’t “What fosters creativity?” But it is "Why in God’s name isn’t everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled?" I think therefore a good question might be not "Why do people create?" But "Why do people not create or innovate?" We have got to abandon that sense of amazement in the face of creativity, as if it were a miracle if anybody created anything. — Abraham Maslow
“If you hear a voice within you say, ‘You cannot paint,’ then by all means paint,
and that voice will be silenced.” — Vincent van Gogh
We went to Taste of Arts this afternoon.
I had fun trying my hand at hat-making
(with a little help from friends).
Newspaper, masking tape, scotch tape and tissue paper
are MAGIC!

Nobody is bored when he is trying to make something that is beautiful,
or to discover something that is true.  - William Inge

“Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.” - Albert Einstein

is great! You look so cute! I love being
creative and consider a day not well spent
if I haven't engaged myself in something
creative. Love what sweet Janette said.
We certainly do have a Father who is the
    Author of being creative!

  4. Wonderful pics . . . and a creative hat, indeed! What fun that must have been! I think we adults often seem to think we're "too old" for that kind of fun, and we miss so much. Thanks for sharing!

  6. How FUN! Except newspapers make me sneeze.
(I very much dislike the word bored.)
Just look at you Rebecca...........as long as you have a newspaper, you will always have something to do!
I wonder if Van Gogh meant to paint, WALLS?

  13. Ahhhh, creativity! I love to be creative. I fill my days with creative pursuits and feel rather incomplete by going too many days without working on something! I think creativity is just one more evidence of the stamp of our God's hand when He created us--we are created in His image--He's creative!

  14. If the Creator lives within us, then surely He will spark creative impulses in us! I love to create new things, or to enjoy things that others create. Charming hat your designed there!
