Red, White and Blue

I was a woman on a mission yesterday morning.  And I prayed on the way.
The pounds I've gained mean
I have very few clothes that fit me.
I got rid of all my "big" clothes
when I lost weight a couple of years ago.
Knowing I needed some clothes to wear
on a short vacation next week,
I headed to my favoritest thrift store.
I was relieved and thankful to find
red, "white" (actually tan) and blue skirts!
(I didn't think about the colors 'til I laid them out to photograph!)
See the "grass of the field" behind me???? Matthew 6:30!
This morning I'm wearing the blue one to our Bible study (Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free).  I know my friends will be happy to see me in something different from just-about-the-only-thing-I-could-fit-into-before!  If you want to see some other things I purchased at the thrift stores yesterday, visit my other blog here.  It was a FUN day.

And this same God who takes care of ME
will supply all YOUR needs from his glorious riches,
which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19, New Living Translation)

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
(Matthew 6:30, New International Version)

  1. What a delightful post this is, Rebecca...

God is indeed good, He knows what we need even before we ask.

And I just love thrift stores. We have what we call "flea markets" here...

    Blessings on your weekend...

  2. I love how God provides!
    Your skirt is beautiful, Rebecca!
love the way it looks with white; all you need now are red accessories!

    The children's kitchen you found thrifting is amazing! {and I know what you mean about de-cluttering... so hard to do when we love our little finds and discoveries!}
Happy Fourth to you and yours!

  3. You always do so well when thrifting. I found a consignment shop near here that had some really nice household items. I found a picture for my guest bathroom for under ten dollars.I kept thinking you would probably find it for a dollar.

  5. Some great finds. The Lord is always so faithful to provide. I can't tell you the number of times I have found just what I needed when I've needed it at my favorite thrift store.
