What To Do with All These Blessings????

 ...Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in, Lord,
Still I will say,
"Blessed be the name of the Lord..."
(Matt Redman's Blessed Be Your Name)
 1. A bouquet given me by a friend Sunday evening.
 2. Our "Home Connection" - friends in our small
group who looked past my swollen face and accept
me as I am.
 3. Lynn and Donna's company last night. An hour
sharing strawberries & angel food cake and a
game of 7's. Their gift of a casserole for tonight's
 4. A shot for poison ivy which supposedly will cut the time of my misery in half.
 5. The privilege of intercession and time to intercede.
 6. God' Word. Particularly Psalm 27 this morning.
 7. The joy of sharing our oldest granddaughter's birthday with her over the weekend.
 8. Beautiful weather the past few days. We haven't had to run our air-conditioner (saving $$ on our
electric bill).
 9. Good neighbors.
10. A song in my heart.
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

  1. That bouquet is soooo beautiful! So sorry you are suffering with that poison ivy. I pray the shot will help it heal quickly!!! This song by Matt Redmon is one of my favorites too. We sing it at church fairly often. In fact just reading the words brings some tears to my eyes. Life is often bitter/sweet and filled with ups and downs, but I stake it all on my faithful, good, and unchanging God whose name is blessed forever! Thanks for this reminder this morning!

  2. Good Morning, Rebecca!

Praying for you today! Sure hope that nasty poison ivy clears up quickly.

The bouquet is beautiful and so are the caring "gifts" given to you by friends. God is faithful! I love that song, too!

It is absolutely gorgeous out this morning. I'm headed out to enjoy this day the Lord has made--hoping to conquer more of the "weed enemies!"

    Love and Prayers,

  3. Oh you poor thing! I had to read your back posts to find out what happened to you... Yet through it all you found the blessings. I love being His, and I love my fellow believers! I just sent up a prayer for you. Maybe it's a little late but it's there none~the~less.

    Blessed be your name
when there's pain in the offering... for sure!

    Hugs, Debbie

  4. I thought I'd pop back over and explain Audrey's misery... She and my son suffer from allergies this time of year. They both get terribly itchy swollen eyes and an itchy throat. Beyond that, Audrey gets really congested and has sinus pressure.

A lot of people are suffering right now...

Thanks for asking! I know she would appreciate a prayer... so I'm asking. :)

  5. I'm trying to find a way to call weeds a blessing. Good Luck with that you say? I heard a weed defined as "A flower for which the benefits have yet to be discovered". It was something like that - anyway - I guess they do provide a way for me to exercise. Have a great day.

  6. Wonderful blessings...and I am glad you were able to get a shot.

  7. Rejoicing with you for all these wonderful
blessings! Praying you feel much better
    soon now!
    The flowers are just beautiful.

  8. I also love this song. It pretty much says it all. Blessed be His name---no matter what the circumstance!
We enjoyed the fellowship Monday night as well.
(Im commenting under anonymous, because for some reason on your blog, it makes me put in my password again when I use my google account; it's an extra step that's a nuisance. (Doesn't happen with all blogs).

  9. Enjoyed the peek into your life today. Glad you're feeling better.

Flowers are such a treat. aren't they? Especially when they come out of the blue from special people in our lives.

  10. I'm very glad some of your pain is being relived by your many blessings. !!

  11. You are one of my blessings today and I thank God for you and your heart for Him. Have a great day, your blessings are many and not taken lightly. love you, connie

  12. We have so many things that we can consider blessings in our lives if only we stop and take the time and appreciate them ( I would be the number one offender of that) The flowers are beautiful.

  13. Wow I'm gone for a few days and you go and get poison Ivy!! That's my rash Rebecca!! I am so sorry that you got into some. It's easy to do, it's a good hider!!
Hope the shot helps, it helped me some but still needed the steroid pills too which I hate but I guess it was the lesser of two evils.I will pray that it goes away quickly.
    Love Di ♥

  14. Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your poison ivy! I am praying for you this morning.

  15. Rebecca,
    #1 I love that song...........
and #2 you did just the right thing with all your
So happy to see the Lord bless bless blessing you,
It is a wonderful thing, and the more we praise him the more he blesses us. He is just so great!

    Am Blessed to know you!
    Love, Nellie

Oh Yea, what a lovely bouquet!! Sweet!

  16. What a lovely list of gratitude to read first thing this morning. You have the most thankful heart.

And then I read about poison ivy...I'm so, so sorry. It seems you've had your share of physical woes. I hope it goes away quickly and completely.
