A picture of some Spiderwort blooming in a garden in North Carolina
sent me out early to see if OURS survived the winter.
I knew it should be SOMEwhere in THIS flowerbed.
(I found it. It doesn't even have buds yet.)
All the time we wandered around our yard
enjoying the sight of the freshly mowed lawn,
we could hear cardinals singing. The only ones we SAW though were these....
Sweet, sweet Saturday mornings!

How about this quote (which I also added to my "quote page")???
"Faith is not about everything turning out okay.
Faith is about being okay no matter how things turn out."

Morning Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI love cardinals, they are my fav bird, I think!!
and I really love being outdoors when it is so nice out. Lately our temps have been very hot, but it is so beautiful and such clear skies, the sun sort of beckons to you to come out!! Mostly we go out in the late evening to water and just maybe sit in the backyard. Sweet times!
I like that quote, it is really a good one.
Definitely, note worthy!!
You have a fun time enjoying your Sat morning,
you still have a few hours left!! lol
Blessings, Nellie
HI Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteRed cardinals are always a lovely sight, even if they are the painted /wooden variety :) :) Hopefully you'll spot some real ones soon :) :) I like that quote about "faith" too :) Have a lovely weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
so jealous of your outdoor beauty already! and I do love that quote!
ReplyDeleteSweet! And I too LOVE that quote.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote and your pictures too. I love cardinals too but here in Oregon I don't think I have ever seen one. We have a lot of blue jays that are mean birds. The birds singing are God's music to my ears. I am so thankful that I can hear.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Blessings & Hugs
Janet
Oh your garden is lovely! How I miss the green this time of year. I especially miss the varigated hosta. Somethings just don't grow here in the SW.
ReplyDeleteyour garden is beautiful, and i LOVE the quote. i
ReplyDeletedefinitely need more faith but have had glimpses
of that kind.
Ooh your yard is looking GOOD!
ReplyDeleteAnd the quote is spot on.
Blessings, Debbie
I didn't see this until today. I love how God works out the timing for right when we need something. Yesterday the quote would have been "Nice", today it is a thread that I am holding tight to. Thank you for finding and sharing Rebecca.
