Rain

It's looking like this is what it's going to be.  All day.
So, I think we'll go to Science Central - a great museum for kids in nearby Fort Wayne.
 T. sat out briefly looking for robins eating worms
in our back yard.

Gary will be hosting a Communion Service at our church
for families and friends of our church this Good Friday afternoon.
People have been invited to drop in between 4:00 and 6:00
to reflect on the death of Jesus - whose blood was shed...life given for OUR salvation!

What a great picture. I love the rain. That is a good thing since I live in Oregon.

    Have a Blessed Easter Weekend!

  2. It's a spring rain! And I know God sends the rain in the spring to water the new sprouts of life all over the land.

Our family did a simple Passover Seder on Monday after sundown - Passover is on March 19, and a Hebrew day starts at sundown the night before, so we had the Passover meal on Monday sundown. It was so meaningful for all of us...

A communion service on Good Friday is so special.

Have a meaningful and blessed Resurrection SUnday, Rebecca.

  3. Rebecca: Yes, we woke up to rain here too! Kind of disappointing after a rare sunny day yesterday that almost promised spring....but you're right, this day is special! It's different for us this year, though. It's one of the first times we haven't been involved in the leadership of a service and we are longing for our grandchildren to celebrate this special Sunday with us, though they will be far away! That's a first too and we will miss them. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!

  5. Same here Rebecca. Lots of rain and it's supposed to rain all week. Everything looks so lush and green right now!
I had a wonderful Good Friday as Kate and Natasha went to church with me this time! Kate was able to take communion which she hadn't done in a while. I think they actually enjoyed it! I know I enjoyed their company.
I hope you had fun at the museum, it's sounds like a great rainy day field trip!

  6. Adorable picture.

My kids loved the Fort Wayne Science Museum. The hands on stuff is such fun for any age.

Our church will be having communion tonight, too. Doesn't look like I'll be there, but my heart will be! "This do in remembrance of me..."

  7. Hi Rebecca,
Wish I could hear you sing on Sunday! Bet it will be quite good. Hope all goes well.
Sounds like you have been having a great time with your grandies........boy, I think I would love being one of your grandchildren, yall are fun grandparents.
I have been busy putting the table together and preparing food all day, pretty much done, just gotta wash and do my hair and press a blouse,
and straighten up the house a little, and I am done!!
We are going to the 9 a.m. service tomorrow, since we are having an early dinner. We usually go to the 10:30 service, and are in sunday school at 9, but we aren't having Sunday School tomorrow cause they are having 3 services!

Hope you have a Wonderful Easter Celebration with your Mom and Dad and daughter and grandchildren.
    Well, He is Risen!!
    He has Risen Indeed!!

    Take Care hon,
    Blessings, Nellie
