As that day was dawning did birds sings with special enthusiasm, the breeze blow more gently, His disciples waken any earlier, or His morning prayer time take any longer?
Was there ANYthing unusual?

As it dawns this morning, the bird are right on schedule; the wind is blowing with fierce determination.  The sky makes no promise of sunshine.

I sit and ponder MY response to this celebration we will observe--bodies sharing the pews in our little country church building on an obscure Indiana corner.

I pray for a personal awareness,
    an appreciation,
an awakening to the Presence of this One who
                incited such a celebration...
...Who was Himself a short week away
from setting in motion the events that resulted in my peace.
If I don't praise Him...
         if WE don't praise Him...
the ROCKS will!
I wish for a little sunshine.
I wish for a break in the cold and windy conditions.
But more than these, I wish for a heart of praise
to match the beauty of the One who rode determinedly toward Calvary
on that day we call "Palm Sunday".

  1. Happy Holy Week Rebecca!
    Love Di ♥

  2. Amen and Amen!

Blessings to you this Holy week.

My heart of praise is in awe of our Savior & Lord!

  3. I definitely need to take time to pause this week and reflect upon the gracious walk of my Lord. So many other things are crowding in. Time to step back and ponder Christ more deeply.
