Our sermon Sunday was on the Holy Spirit. Our songs were of His power. As I saw these wind turbines, I couldn't but help to think of God's power...a power I long to experience more and more...the power Paul prayed that we would know and experience: I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:19-20 (New Living Translation)

Those wind mills really ARE much larger than you would think when you get up closer to them. It's a mystery to me how they work, just like it is a mystery how the power of the Holy Spirit works. We can't see the wind, just the effects of it! To think that the same power that raised Christ from the dead also lives in US is mind boggling!

Yes, the wonderful power and life and presence of the Holy Spirit! I saw the many windmills on our last trip west just a few weeks ago. It was amazing! There were hundreds in one place in Kansas, I believe. Such a sight. Wonderful thoughts on this post, keep up the good work!

They have been testing the area I live in for placement of these wind mills. They want to rent the land from the farmers.I do not think we can even imagine the full power of God.♥ Be safe on your trip and most of all...have FUN.:)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. It's silly but whenever I see those windmills, I feel like they are waving at me and the world in a friendly way and sometimes I wave back at them as we drive by...:)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of myself as one of those turbines, standing in that field, alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ--fully churning with the fuel and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Powerful imagery.

ReplyDeleteWe are having revival at our church this week...and I am soaking in every word. The power of the Spirit is the main focus of the messages....and I have learned that with the power of the Spirit, I can do soooo much more than I ever felt possible...not through me....NEVER anything I can do or will do...but through Him! Thank you for a lovely blog....

I am trying to experience God's powers more and more everyday! However, and this may sound crazy, I have a fear of those wind turbines, also pipe organs and hot air balloons! I know it sounds absolutely nuts, but it is what it is! So why didn't you stop by for some thrift shopping! Love Di ♥

ReplyDeleteI KNOW that we do not even begin to tap into the power that is available to us through Christ; when you think we have the same power available that raised our Lord from the dead. It's hard to wrap my mind around that.
