Fun on the Farm

Here's how we spent quite a few hours today!  I even re-learned how to build a cabin out of Lincoln Logs!  We are tending 98 animals at last count.

  1. So nice to see your grandchildren playing with items, Rebecca...that entertained mine years ago. I still have the Lincoln Logs, a similar red barn and farm house downstairs, although not quite as many animals! :)

  3. Fun! Fun! I just bought more Lincoln logs for my grands! They love them, too!

Looks like the perfect Thanksgiving Day for your family - made even more special with your parents present! Not too many of us could serve a meal in our garage; yours looks so cozy and clean! Your creativity really shines!

    Hope you are feeling better.

  5. Diane, What I'm NOT looking forward to is the "clean up" time! I think I'll have FAR less enthusiasm for THAT task.

  6. Glenda, "Clean garage" is a relative term. I certainly NEVER think of our garage as clean compared to my dad and mother's, for instance.

It made sense for us given the size of the rooms in the house, and it DID work out just fine. A few candles, many sheets to cover up junk, flowers, and table ware worked their miracles :)

  7. That brings back my own child hood...you guys have a nice dairy farm going. I am sure your grands will look back one day of fond memories with their awesome grandma.:)

  8. Love Lincoln Logs and building with my children, although we haven't pulled them out in a long time! Also loved reading about and seeing the pictures of your Thanksgiving. Truly, you have a thankful heart full of giving to others. I only wish I could have been there to share in the wonderful memory. It just seems so perfect and filled with joy!
