The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:7-8.
This is our "memory verse" for adult Sunday School this week! It is the third verse (or set of verses) that we are memorizing. " Promises for Hard Times" is the theme. We're stocking the pantry of our hearts for future times of need.
Thank you ...memorizing God's word is a wonderful thing....have a very blessed Lord's day.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so good, Rebecca."Promises
ReplyDeletefor Hard Times." These are hard times
and as the day grows closer, according
to His word, they will get harder before
we can look up and see our redemption
drawing nigh. But the Lord Jesus is all
we need!
Blessings to you,
Sandy
HI Rebecca...
ReplyDeleteThat's such a good/much needed verse. I wrote it down...and when I find the right photo..I'll add this Scripture verse to it :) :)
Love the photo of that pantry too. Is that your pantry or the pantry at your church? I love how it's organized!!!!
Have a great Sunday. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
AMEN...Great post!!
ReplyDeleteUpdate on Amden on arise 2 write.
Blessings, andrea
Heather....I WISH this was my pantry. I googled "pantry" and this was the one that I decided on. I should have been more careful to track it down and give credit where due.
ReplyDeleteI have such a difficult time memorizing anything! It takes me forever. I sure did enjoy that verse, I have read it. Beautiful! Love Di ♥
ReplyDeleteDiana, I've surprised myself! I'm glad I made myself do it. So far, I've kept up. This is PROBABLY good for me -- both the ACT of memorizing AND the content :)
ReplyDeleteSunday blessing's Rebecca, You are so clever at thinking up and sharing posts. Like Diana, I have a terrible time with memorizing verse's or anything else.
ReplyDeleteOne of the few, yet thriving ministries of our new church is a small, food pantry. It serves the community and blessed the members' hearts to be able to bring in a few items each month and place them on the altar at the front of the church. Your picture made me think of this... perhaps, I can get more involved once the kids get off to school this week.
