Still With Him in the City

Around 4:00 yesterday afternoon, this was the scene in front of me.  I love the city!  It's size staggers my imagination.  The thought of so many people, so much activity, so many sights and sounds rushes at each of my senses.  While nothing compares to the beauty of nature (mountain, sea, etc), this  cityscape  takes my breath away.  Closely behind these thoughts, comes this Scripture to my mind:

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?  If I ascend to heaven, you are there!  If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.  If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night," even the darkness is not night to you; the night is bright in the day but darkness is as light with you!  (Psalm 139:7-12)
I'll take my cues from my grandchildren today who cavorted yesterday without a care on the roof of their apartment--towering buildings all around them.  The water balloons provided relief from the heat of the sun.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake,  and I am still with you(vs. 17 & 18).
