Friends...Rekindle the Inner Spirit

A good friend is cheaper than therapy.  ~Author Unknown

It was difficult to condense 44 years into less than 5 waking hours!  We'll have to meet again to pick up where we left off.

Reconnecting (thanks to Facebook) after losing contact after high school graduation  was a joy.  Now, meeting face-to-face, memories resurfaced along with laughter and tears.

Carol was on her way to a writing retreat in Cincinnati and spent Saturday night in our backyard Christmas cabin.  She attended church with us and we enjoyed dinner at Cracker Barrel before she headed to her destination.

Friends are such a treasure!

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.  It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.  We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.  ~Albert Schweitzer

  6. I agree with your quote that friends are cheaper than therapy and for sure they are a treasure. How nice that you found each other on face book and were able to get together and share past memories. I have a few friends from my school years that I would (love) to find. Your photo looks nice and I bet you each said "you haven't changed a bit!"
