Baptism Day

This is a special day! Our son will get to baptize his son (our oldest grandson) this morning. I drove to the hotel yesterday and met our daughter with her three children. Our son and his sons joined us at the pool. The kids spent more time in the shower since it was considerably warmer than the pool!

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)

I'm SO thankful that our children love the Lord and are doing their best to follow God's plan of teaching THEIR children through daily example and intentional times of instruction. NOTHING brings me more joy than to hear that our children are walking in the truth (3 John 4)!

  7. Thanks, everyone, for sharing my joy. (I feel a little like the woman in the parable who found her lost coin and called in all the neighbors to rejoice with her!) It truly was a beautiful day and a great joy to see our son baptize not only his son, but several of the junior high students in his youth group.
