...the sheep of His pasture

Just a few of my simple, small collection of sheep....all of which remind me to "know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."  Psalm 100:3
I realized I was accumulating a flock when I began to gather pieces for the used, incomplete nativity sets I also collect!  I display these sheep long after the nativities are retired after the Christmas season.
Currently they are on the fireplace mantle.
What do YOU collect and how did you get started?

  1. I love your sheep! They are baaa u ti ful!
I used to collect bunnies, but they kept multiplying as if they were real, and got out of hand! I had to stop before they took over my house! I still have my favorites and tell my self to keep walking when I see another one I want to buy!

  3. You must have known I was going to ask to see
your sheep collection, Rebecca! Just precious!
In answer to your question above, I collect
teddy bears and birds and all things related to birds. I got started collecting bears when I became friends with someone who is still one of my dearest friends after nearly 30 years. She had a collection of bears and got me started. I became an avid bird watcher 10 years ago and began to collect birds due to
my interest in birding. I also decorate my
home in the cottage country style which lends
itself to outdoorsy type pieces, including
    birds, nests, cages, etc.

  7. I love your sheep collection. I collect anything associated with Noah's Arks, angels, Santa Clauses, Beatrix Potter figurines... just to name a few. I also love Nativity scenes, but I don't have that many of them. My daughter just started me on a collection of Herend figurines. Love & blessings from NC!

  10. Oh, my goodness, Rebecca, I have far too many collections, and sheep is one of them, along with tiny tea sets, nesting dolls, Swedish Dala horses, roosters, owls, cigar boxes, dolls, well, I could go on and on! It's shameful really, as most of these collections are now boxed and in the attic. I am trying to de-clutter our house and collections and de-cluttering just don't go together. :(

    'Loved seeing your collection!
    Enjoy!
    Love to you,
    Eileen

  13. Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for stopping by my blog site. It's wonderful meeting new friends who love the Lord. I wanted to formally stop in and introduce myself to you. I love this site and the music. I see that you have some other sites as well...I will be heading on over to visit you there as well.

I became a follower of your site here today. I would be honored if you felt led to become a follower of my site as well.

I'm happy that the moon sand pictures gave your some ideas for Christmas gifts. The grandchildren enjoy playing with it a lot.

I collect angels. I don't have a huge collection of them, but that is what I collect.

Again, it is very nice meeting you and I look forward in getting to know you better.

    Blessings,
    Alleluiabelle

  14. Goodness! I haven't read blogs since Wed. and it seems I'm way behind! I used to collect salt and pepper shaker sets. I have them all upstairs and have been contemplating getting rid of them. I thought about e-bay, but there are TONS of S and P sets on e-bay.

    Love your sheep. Donna
