  1. Wonderful quote Rebecca. I also believe that if you live in the now, you don't dwell on the past or worry about the future.

  2. I love the song that uses Numbers 6:24-26.
I learn a lot of Scripture through the songs we learn and sing in church.
Thank you for a lovely post, Rebecca.

  5. That's a great quote! We tend to spend way too much time fretting about the past and worrying about the future. But we have the opportunity to now make the best of our future.

  6. Donna, I like the way you say it! The future DOES hold much opportunity! Happy New Year.

  7. Bernie, We gave up our bedroom for one night when our children were here. That meant a thorough "pick up". It was nice to return from our hotel to a totally "picked up" room -- kind of like the future you describe. Now, to keep it that way (the room AND the future)....

  8. Jackie, I too have learned many, many verses of Scripture by singing them! In fact, I put this "benediction" to music one year to teach it to Vacation Bible School students. It still "sticks" in my memory while many other things slip right through.

  9. Janine, Blessings abound in Blogland! I feel like Lewis and Clark must have felt - discovering so much territory that had previously been a vast unknown! Counting YOU among my great discoveries in 2009. May the Lord bless your New Year.

  10. Now that's a thought I can live with--at least chew on for the next little bit! Too bad my future includes me, which is where the spotless part of things begins to go south:)

    Happy New Year!

  11. What an encouraging quote. Yes, in Christ my future is spotless... and to think of our future in eternal glory with the spotless Lamb of God... what joy awaits us!

Have a blessed and healthy New Year!
