Assisted Living

A blogger friend passed on this link featuring an article about the Hanselman sextuplet's first day at school: ohio.com/lifestyle/family/54841697.html

The whole article was worth reading, but the following line stood out to me: "For the first year of their lives, their tiny clothes were washed, dried and neatly folded by nine grandmotherly types--all residents of Haven Homes, an assisted-living facility in Stow."

This coming Sunday, my husband's sermon will come from Galatians 5:1-15. Verse 13 says, "...do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."

Now THAT'S "assisted living! God bless those "nine grandmotherly types." May their tribe increase!

  1. Oh Rebecca, how wonderful these women were so willing to help these beautiful children and especially their mom.
Our world needs more grandmotherly types, as I cannot think of anything more rewarding than helping others......:-) Hugs

  2. Thank the Lord for Godly people...of any age.
Our church is growing...and our slogan that we wear on our shirts is a capital "E" with the number 3 as a superscript...and it stands for
    Equip the Saints
    Evangalize the World
    Exalt the Savior
May God bless you and your husband as you continue to share His Word.
    Smiles,
    Jackie

  3. Guess what Rebecca? We are going through the book of Galatians, and last week our sermon was the 1st part of chapter 5 :) Great stuff!

  4. JACKIE, Great news about your church! I like that logo on your shirts!
JACQUELYN, isn't that just like the Lord--to take two sisters in Christ separated by miles and unite them by speaking through the same verses in two different sermons????
BERNIE, it IS a wonderful story. I'm sure such deeds of love are being carried out all over the world "behind the scenes". We just don't hear about them. I also know you are doing your share up there!
