God WILL Supply EVERY Need

The $12 one...
...the free one.
While at the lake last week, we took a walk and stopped at a small garage sale. In front of the other items for sale sat a "free" bicycle and a skateboard. I helped myself to the free bicycle thinking it might be nice to have when the grandchildren came to visit.

When I arrived home the following afternoon, my daughter called and said, "Mom, would you keep an eye out for bicycles at garage sales? Both of our kids' bikes were stolen last night." I KNOW it wasn't coincidence that I picked up that free bicycle! I went a'saling and found a second bike for $12. My husband got busy and painted the free one. By the time our grandchildren came, the newly painted one was drying and ready for riding the next morning.

Another provision arrived this afternoon. In bags on the back porch were beets, green beans, squash and kohlrabi - fresh from the garden of generous friends.

My God WILL supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:19-20.

  1. I don't believe in coincidences either. The bike sure sounds like a God moment. Don't you just love em. I think the Lord allows these type of occurences as a witness that he is with us in all things. Dee

  2. What a blessing. I agree with Dee as well. I love when the Lord knows our needs before we even speak of them.

BTW, your husband did a great job on painting the new bicycle... love the color.

    Blessings to you and yours,

  4. Don't you just love when things like that happen? It's like God is saying "See, I told you I'd be there."

  7. I so believe this is true. My husbands car died Saturday morning. It was given to him 5 years ago and served it's purpose well. I'm waiting to see what God replaces it with. We have no money for a loan or for a used car, but God owns the cattle on a thousand hills and He knows our need. Until the replacement comes, I will gladly get up early each morning and drive John to work. He's chosen to ride his bike home as long as the weater is good.

  9. Wanda, you are SO right - things do work out (like Eileen says, "before I knew there was a need, God was filling it!" Kathy, I can't WAIT to hear how God will bring another car to your husband. His willingness to ride his bike & yours to get up early and take him to work are initiatives God applauds.

ALL of you make my day! Together our words affirm, God is good - all the time! All the time - God is good.
