Reflections on our Mother's Day, 2009

The rainbow appeared as we neared home after an afternoon with my parents. My niece, Stephanie Joy, snapped the photo out of the window of a moving car with my cell phone! My sister and I posed with our mother for this photo in between games* of Mexican Train Dominoes and Sevens - a card game for which my dad kept score in his usual, organized fashion. What a beautiful afternoon we enjoyed together! Thank you, Lord, for my family!
*Board/table/card games and hymn sings are two traditions of my family. Seldom do we meet but that one or both activities take place!

  3. Great picture of you and Susie and your mom! Looks like Gary and your sis just beat you by a few. I can't add like your dad without putting little numbers for carrying. Sounds like fun!

  5. I'm confuse about comments myself...Today was an exception but usually as a rule I don't reply to comments left for me at my blog...because if it's a new person I would just return the visit...and with regulars I am always going to visit their blog and post comments anyway...but with a few close blogger friends that post everyday...I leave a comment at their blog and they reply back at their blog and I check back later for that reply...just our way of communicating daily because I don't post everyday......I wouldn't want a lot of miscellaneous awards all over my blog...but I appreciated this one and don't really think I will have that problem to deal with...Some don't post them at all and some have a separate blog just for awards...I just copied the award to my document picture folder to get it to my blog...Whether you post it or not I wanted to give it to you...Your blog is exceptional.

  6. I only removed it because I accidentally put it in twice!

And Wanda, thanks for ALL your help. I am so "GREEN" at this. You are very kind and thoughtful. I hope I can return your favors often.
