Nativity Festivity!

Just a few of the 50+ Nativity Sets brought in by families in our church for display during our Sunday School hour this morning.  A beautiful table of refreshments was prepared; this is one table of folks who enjoyed viewing the display and sampling the cookies, fruit, punch and coffee.  Children  colored pictures of a nativity scene and their artwork was  added to a bulletin board in our Fellowship Hall.

Did you notice how styrofoam cups were placed INSIDE colorful Christmas cups!  What a great idea Jean had!  (The colorful cups were not totally suitable for holding hot drinks, so this was an attractive solution.)

  2. Oh, what a sweet idea... It sounds like everyone had fun!!! An old friend of mine used to collect different nativity sets...My favorite was a nativity set of all Native American Indian dolls...I've seen others...by an artist named Jim Shore.. There's so many and all so beautiful...and all remind me of why we celebrate Christmas ;) :) Have a great week. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  6. Oh, I want to plan this for our church next year. The lego one brought tears for Christ did come for our children. Somewhere I read you shared the stories of the Nativity sets, too, and I love that idea.
