(Of course, there was a little behind-the-scenes grooming going on before picture taking.)
My sister and brother-in-law had sent this beautiful bouquet to congratulate our parents.
We visited, ate lunch together and played one of our favorite card games - "Sevens".
Tomorrow is their anniversary. I'm very blessed to have both of my parents living, sound of mind and faithful and enthusiastic in their love for the Lord Jesus.
What fabulous pictures! They both look so young; no doubt the result of a lifetime of love. How wonderful, and what an inspiration.

Diana, They're 83 (last November and next month) so I guess they were 20 and 19.

Congratulations! That is something to celebrate for sure!
ReplyDeleteJust what the world truly needs more of...loving people. Please add our congratulations to an awesome event as nowadays it's saying something when couples even make it to the three year mark!
ReplyDeleteblessings and hugs,

Their love glows out of them. They are a loving inspiration, and wonderful example of God's love and of their love for each other. Bless their hearts and congratulations to them.

How proud you must be! As I looked at your mom and dad's joyful faces, I could see my own mother and dad in them. Mind have had 57 years together, both are 78 years old, and people can't believe their ages. They took good care of each other and themselves; my dad still goes to the office! LOL! He would be lost without something to do.
ReplyDeleteSending my best wishes and prayer for a blessed celebration of this eternal love they have for one another.
Sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour parents look sweet and happy, Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a tremendous blessing to have both of your parents alive, well and loving Jesus. I am sure there is much to glean from there many, many years of marriage and life experiences. May the Lord continue to bless and keep them in this world to be lights for His glory.
