Open Porch at the Harlan Days Parade

In all the excitement, I failed to get enough pictures to really capture the "Open Porch" this morning during the Harlan Days Parade. These were a few of the friends who dropped in. The float is our church's cooperative project with a neighboring Awana Club. Now for a creative approach, be sure to read "Donna's Version" - her August 1 post!

  2. I came home to take a nap and couldn't believe that you had already posted on the parade! You could have eliminated the picture of me with the water--not real flattering! Love and blessings.

  4. Great pictures! The parade looks like fun for everyone! And your porch looks beautiful (especially with folks on it to enjoy your husband's efforts!).
And I like very much your decorator's touch with the chandelier!
And most beautiful is the spirit of opening your home for others to enjoy!
    All the best,
    Eileen

  5. I'm glad that you had what looked to be lovely weather for the parade Rebecca!
You know how parades line up on a certain street before they start? Our street is the street that they line up on. My family thinks I'm crazy because every year I have to sit on my porch before the parade, then I walk across the alley to watch the parade and then I come home and sit on the porch to watch again! It doesn't take much to please me!
