At our extended family Christmas gathering, someone got out the Wii. Our little grandsons were really "into" the bowling and baseball games. I didn't get a chance to try. This morning while posting on my wardrobe blog I realized that several months have now gone by in my "new" attempt to Wardrobe with Interest and Intention. This may be the closest I'll come to a Wii!
Actually, this interest and intention has been rewarding. My husband remarked this morning that there are now more pictures of me in circulation since I began "Wii-ing" than even existed from the previous 60 years! He's right. I hate having pictures taken of me. And I've been known to tear up a few, too. You'll notice I don't smile much in my pictures. Maybe in 2010, I'll figure out how to do that.
Your grandson looks like a pro Rebecca...he really seems to be enjoying himself. I've done the bowling on my grandson's Wii...it was actually fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't like having my picture made and I don't smile in pictures either. What is up with us...why can't we just relax and have our picture made?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, andrea
Oh, I'm uncomfortable with 'posed' pictures too and I don't like them much at all, I much prefer someone just snap me in motion! It helps to have the grandkids around because then my focus is usually on them and I don't feel pressure to smile because it comes naturally when they are around!
ReplyDeleteI think you do very well!
I love Wii! I'm so bad at it and everyone laughs at me, but I still enjoy it!
Love to you,
Eileen
Your grandson looks so cute....Rebecca I smile too much in my pictures but honestly I do smile a lot anyway....Dr. John said yesterday, it was good to see my smile to start the New Year so I guess it's just who I am. Believe me when I say I am not smiling this morning, my throat and glands are so sore I am almost frighten to move anything........:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it! What made you think of Wii for your wardrobe ventures? You just have this mind that connects things and they totally make sense.
ReplyDeleteI don't like my picture taken either--but I haven't reached my 35 lb weight loss yet either (in fact I had a 3 lb set-back over the holidays--Ugh!)
Explanation: I know how to smile and would like to think I smile as much or more than the average "bear". It's just when I know I'm on camera that I freeze up. My smiles never seem natural and I don't like fake ANYthing....
ReplyDeleteOh Rebecca, your grandson looks like he had a blast!
ReplyDeleteI like the pictures you have shared of yourself...it looks like you have a secret you are not willing to share ;-)
ps: praying that everything goes well tomorrow!
blessings,
maria
Thanks for praying, Maria. We really appreciate it. And yes, our grandson DID have a blast! He caught on really fast - and he's only 3.
ReplyDeleteI am to slow for Wii and my grands do not like to play with me. The only one's I can do fairly well are the shooting games. I think you photograph well but I can relate with you about being camera shy. I always get this goofy stiff grin. My profile picture is awfull, not flattering at all but I chose it because it captures a little of my personality.Your granson is really cute and looks like he has the Wii down pat. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI have the hardest time smiling for a photo. I always feel like it's forced! I think the key is to do it quick. Get your camera ready, think about the good job you've done with your Wii, and than click!!! I am thinking about Gary today. Love Di
