Solutions

I've solved (at least temporarily) two puzzling situations in my life this morning.  Since going to the hot-air popper, this large blue pan was constantly on my countertop.  (It's REAL place was awkwardly and inconveniently nestled toward the bottom of a stack of bigger and smaller bowls.)  This morning I decided to store it in my oven which is NOT getting a lot of use right now and is near the popper!

The second dilemma has taken a little more thought.  It is how and if  to add Twitter to my on-line experiences.  In order to do it, I've defined my purposes broadly this way:  Blogging - to develop and utilize my God-given gifts and creativity to His glory, learn from others, and bless as many people as I can in the process.  Facebook - connecting and communicating at a more personal level.  Twitter - to be mentored by godly people whom I respect. (I will not use it primarily to connect and communicate information but more to "receive".)  I have ventured into Pinterest.  Still trying to define my purpose there and determine whether or not to develop my "presence" there...

Now I'm eager to continue the use of this amazing technology with renewed commitment, purpose and wisdom.  These decisions have been stimulated by the line I've placed under my Life and Godliness blog header:  Keeping it Sane, Simple, and Sacred.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.  Psalm 19:14

Have you solved any puzzling situations lately?
Are you working on any?

  1. I always store pans in my oven! I like your blog purpose. What a nice idea to have a purpose to the things we do!

  5. I am so overloaded with life right now I choose not to venture deeper into technology but I find it all interesting and a great scource for information. Although I really like FB and Blogger, and would not want to give them up. I still preferr sitting and looking up info in a book and talking on the phone with my friends. I no longer enjoy TV and chose to listen to the radio. I fear we are all falling victim to brain overload..I read about so many people suffering insomnia...I wonder if there is a connection. Your line - Sane and Simple - sounds good to me :) Oh, and about putting stuff in the oven...I had a bad experience and no longer do it.

But go for it if you can handle that and if you think you'll like it.
Puzzling situations? Oh yes!! Trying to reconfigure the house and making sure that everything is written down for Jake so he has a clue when to pay what and feed what!!! LOL!!!

  7. Hi, I read several of your posts and am your newest follower. I am on twitter and Facebook and blog too; all different ways to reach out to people. I am a Christian and a writer so you can see that I love Jesus and words too.

  8. My husband has decided the egg poacher's spot is in the refrig. by the eggs. I smile every time I see it there.

I've been thinking about twitter, too. Wasn't sure how to go about it or know if it could be used as an encouragement tool -- which is God's desire for my writings. How do you intend to be mentored by it? Have you read any good articles about it?
