Comfortably Cluttered

Tonight I found out the name of my current and favorite personal decorating style!  I was thumbing through magazines and enjoying a fine hot drink at Borders when I found an article featuring this new book.  "Comfortably Cluttered" is IT! 

Honestly, I wish there was a nicer sounding name for it...but it couldn't be more accurate!  You can read a little more about it in a post on my Thrifty Style at Sixty-Two Blog.

    What's my style? Probably Shabby Chic, vintage, feminine, romantic, rustic, country and Victorian...not necessarily all rolled into one..but I do love elements from all those styles. Hmm..I'd be similar to yours - comfortably cluttered :) :) I have stuff everywhere, but I love looking at all of it. Thankful to God for my little home :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

    I'm like Heather, elements of many styles, most of what she mentioned, except maybe rustic. I might call my house "eclectic/Victorian." I have had people say my house reminds them of a museum--I hope that was a compliment! I love old things and displaying them creatively.

    I am always trying to de-clutter and purge...but maybe I am *comfortably cluttered* too? :)

    Oh I like that...what is my style..well as my decorating friend told me the other day..."Janette you have always had your own style"...so does that mean it is the Janette Style?
