Wh...Ahhh, the hymns, I love to hear and sing them. What a blessing for you and the residents of the home to be able to hear and sing songs that lift and encourage the soul!

Thank you for asking about my father. The arteries that he has blocked are located in his rt/lt thighs and legs. He was scheduled for an invasive surgery, originally. But after speaking to a few doctor friends, he decided to postpone the surgery and take a different approach, thinking things were so bad. He wanted to see a "road map", if you will, of his arteries/veins. So he had and "MRA" done yesterday. An "MRA" is like an "MRI" except they power inject contrast into the body to be able to see the arteries and veins better. Well, my Dad knew his legs were bad, but he didn't think they would be this bad. He said his arteries and veins are completely destroyed. He has been dealing with excruciating pain in his legs for over 15 years. Never dealing with the problem but making it worse by taking very strong pain killers all those years. Of course, over the course of time, these pain killers do not have the same effect. Anyway, the contrast showed nothing towards the lower part of his legs. There is no circulation there. It is a wonder he's even walking at all. Now, he has to do the original surgery which entails inserting a catheter through the urethra to reach the arteries/veins of his legs so they can try to unblock them; he will have stents placed in and by-passes as well. These by-passes are like the ones for the heart except they are much smaller. He needs to visit the cardiologist prior to surgery; take his breathing pills to stabilize his breathing, etc.. My father has worked in the medical field all his life. So he knows the "behind the scenes" situations, etc., and he has always had a fear of landing in the hospital sick or for surgery. How ironic, I think. He's been smoking for over 53 years and needs the salvation that only comes through believing in Christ.Mrs. Teapothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05657879676814934894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-163092593778837151.post-15966816874804037412009-11-07T14:19:38.051-05:002009-11-07T14:19:38.051-05:00One of my favorite hymns...and so beautiful the wa...One of my favorite hymns...and so beautiful the way you included it in your playlist!
