Weary

Weary…
Of unrelenting noise
Of shameless promotion
Of frantic solutions
Of loud opinions
Of fickle friends
Of thoughtless chatter
Of purposeless activity
Of unhelpful suggestions
Of deceptive advertising
Of sleazy entertainment
Of unholy ambitions
Of ineffective diets
Of pyramid schemes
Of flawed self

This is the project I referred to in my previous post!
And now a disclaimer!
I just wrote as an outlet and response to a lot of things.
I'm not as weary as I sound.
In fact, in identifying my weariness
I've made a conscious effort to eliminate as many as possible.
And what I can't eliminate, I'm choosing to at least ignore!
I'll be posting a positive version of this exercise soon.
I promise

  1. I love your cabinet! Are you using it as an island? I guess I missed your previous post but will go check it out.

I totally get this what you wrote. Its too much of everything. I've taken steps again to opt out of the crazy.

    1. It actually backs UP to our island and faces the dining area. The white "matches" a bookcase and the mantle and other woodwork in the room....

  2. So many things in life can cause us weariness. Then throw in events that come upon us out of the blue, like hurricane Irma for me, and weariness can be almost overwhelming. Naps, prayer, trusting in God have helped me these past couple of days since getting back home after being away for 4 days. I am thankful to God for his protection.

I love how your 'free' cabinet turned out.
